Why we work this way

Before Shariff Consultancy, I had a full-time job and built software for other businesses on the side. The thing I got tired of seeing was software that was paid for, delivered, and then barely used, because nobody had asked how the business actually ran.

Most software projects go wrong in the first month, when nobody has written down what the first version should do. So we start there, on one page, and only then build.

It usually goes like this:

  1. We learn your business, your users and what's in the way.
  2. We write the first scope, including what we're leaving out.
  3. We build in short cycles and show you working software early.
  4. We launch with monitoring and a proper handover.
  5. We stay, and improve what the numbers point at.
